About 6 months before my wedding, I took my first ever yoga class with Elise. I was hesitant to try it, being as I'd never done it before and wasn't sure I'd be any good at it. I'd also heard it was more for balance and flexibility as opposed to helping in weight loss. After sweating like crazy and burning mad calories with Elise that first class, I was hooked. She was so helpful and easy to follow. She let us know modifications for moves that were super challenging and praised us for trying. She helped me understand that in my practice, it was better to fall over and get back up as opposed to not trying at all. And I'll tell ya, I did fall. A lot. But, I also go back up and did it better the next time. My flexibility has increased and my stress level has gone down since I've started practicing yoga. I owe it all to Elise. She made it easy to start and helped me feel capable. She asked me if I used to be a dancer. Anyone who knows me, knows that I'm pretty uncoordinated and clumsy. Definitely not a dancer. But, she saw grace and beauty in me before I could. Elise rocks.
