I have been on a recent kick of saying "YES" to life, and all the many opportunities it presents.  so when this random survey appeared in my in-box from someone i hardly even remember meeting... instead of immediately deleting, and marking as spam... i decided to fill it out, and post it as a Blog.   who knows.... maybe i learned a little something about myself  🙂

1. What time did you get up this morning?

6:45am. to run the beach and the Santa Monica stairs before teaching yoga.

2. Diamonds or pearls?

yes please.

3. What was the last film you saw at the cinema?

Some movie with Chris Hemsworth and some other people... i think it was called "Snow White and Chris Hemsworth"......

4. What is your favorite TV show?

CURRENT: TRUE BLOOD and GAME OF THRONES

PERENNIAL: COSBY SHOW and ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT

5. What do you usually have for breakfast?

WEEKDAYS: Coffee

WEEKENDS: AXE 12 grain pancakes. with bacon & syrup.  life is about balance.

7. What food do you dislike?

none. ok.... overcooked steak...because it is a waste.  and eggplant.

8. What is your favorite CD?

do people still have CDs? my all-time favorite album might have to be 'Off the Wall'.  Currently, i'm listening to a lot of soulful women... Etta James, Adele, Nina Simone, Amy Winehouse... love them all.  I also listen to a lot of jazz and hip-hop.... and i may be the only woman alive who thinks John Mayer is an over-rated waste of time.

9. Favorite Movies

The Shawshank Redemption, Fight Club, Jaws, Raiders of the Lost Ark, The Godfather parts I and II, Rear Window, The Empire Strikes back...... anything with Chris Hemsworth.

10.. Favorite sandwich?

Honestly? Ice cream.

if we're talking lunch: turkey, cheddar, dijon, lettuce, tomato, sundried tomato, pickles, banana peppers and avocado. with salt & vinegar chips... IN the sandwich (not on the side). you can imagine... they pretty much hate me when i order at Subway.

my nude jimmy choos. a splurge item.

13.. If you could go anywhere in the world on vacation, where would you go?

Barcelona.  planning a trip in the fall

Costa Rica. i'd spend my retirement surfing and eating ceviche.

Twenty one. it's possible i'm still recovering.....

Chris Hemsworth. 🙂 seriously though, Lindt Chocolate Easter bunnies.  chocolate just tastes better when it's shaped like rabbits.

June 10th.  when i start trapeze class, and finally learn to FLY!

cool & refreshing, with a breeze off the ocean

i don't speak on the phone. i text.  if you have ever spoken with me on the phone, it means you are truly special.... or persistent.  or the guy from Apple support.  the first person i texted was my friend mariel.  to make plans for yoga and dancing.

i tried to cut way back on these, but i will still indulge in Diet Dr. Pepper

slightly less blonde than i am now.  or maybe.... a lot less blonde.  i can't honestly remember.

35.. What was your favorite toy as a child?

My sister's barbies.  and my neighbor Chris' light saber.  i like other peoples' stuff.

yesterday.  when i watched a pet rescue commercial.  i blame the full moon, and Venus in retrograde.

Happy Hour and coconut cake at Shutters on the beach.. listening to the ocean, talking with friends.  then out to a party at a dive bar on Pico, before finishing the night eating 2 slices of what tasted like the the world's most amazing sundried tomato & artichoke pizza.

43..What are you afraid of ?

Complacency

Both together.... salted caramel.  peanut butter cups.  chocolate pretzels...

45.. How many keys on your key ring?

Not a clue.  10 or 15?.... i think only 3 of them actually open anything... and i usually end up losing those 3.  i've had to climb into my living room window more than a few times.

i don't know if i've lived in any 'towns', but i've lived in too many cities to count.

I hope so.  i'm very thankful for all the ones i have.

rosemary. coffee in the morning. old books. the sea during a summer sunset. gingerbread. fresh peonies from the farmers' market. jo malone 'lime, basil, mandarin' perfume.

nothing.  i had quality time with real people instead.
